INTERNSHIP
PROGRAM
In addition to the academic offerings, the American University of
Rome has an Internship Program where selected students may be placed
to work 150 hours per week during the semester in a company in Rome
for which the student earns 3 credits. This highly selective program
(some Italian is required) has been helpful in assisting students
with finding jobs after graduation and is a much sought after item
by most young graduates for their resumes. The Internship Program
complements on-campus instruction and the University's desire to use
the City of Rome as a classroom.
THE
COLLEGE OF STATEN ISLAND ARTICULATION PROGRAM
Freshman and sophomore students in Rome are enrolled for two years
on the American University of Rome College of Staten Island Articulation
program so that students in Italy may embark on a course of study
that leads ,to a degree offered in the United States by one of the
City University of New York's most innovative and technologically
advanced campuses, The College of Staten Island. CSI offers over sixty
different degree programs, from accounting to computer science, to
economics and psychology, and many more. Students in the program complete
general education requirements in Rome, and then spend a period of
residence in New York to complete their degree.
